About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Business Head of Credit Cards to lead a cross-functional team of experts in launching and operating high Return on Equity (RoE) credit card programs in the UK market. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across defining, launching, implementing, and optimizing the full Program Management lifecycle of a Credit Card, including Product Definition, Marketing, Underwriting, Portfolio Management, Operations, Customer Support, Collections, and Financial Modeling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and launch high RoE credit card programs with a strong foundation in Risk Management
  • Leverage technology platforms to drive down cost to income ratios and optimize RoE
  • Lead a cross-functional team of experts in launching and operating credit card programs
  • Develop and implement sophisticated credit risk and underwriting models and rules
  • Monitor and grow the performance and size of large credit card portfolios
  • Define and run manual and automation processes to optimize Operations
  • Run Contact Centers that deliver world-class Customer Satisfaction (CSAT)
  • Define sophisticated contact and collections strategies that are both compliant and efficient
  • Build sophisticated, multi-year, Credit Card Financial models with granular assumptions of the relevant vintage curves
Requirements
  • Deeply analytical and data-driven with an engineering mindset
  • Indepth knowledge and understanding of Risk and Regulations
  • Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude with operational rigor
  • Leadership skills to identify, attract, inspire, train, and retain top talent
  • Demonstrable experience (preferably 15+ years) across heading at least Credit Risk and Underwriting, Acquisition, Portfolio Management, and Collections for large-sized credit card portfolios
  • Experience in building a credit card portfolio from scratch as a cross-functional leader desirable
