Senior Mechanical Project Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team at eastgrinsteadcourier in the Rochester area.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical project engineering, with experience working on projects within the water industry, particularly in wastewater or water treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with project management and coordination
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery
  • Liaise with site management to ensure design and procurement are aligned
  • Prepare construction completion and take-over documentation
  • Coordinate technical aspects of the project
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and challenge stakeholders
  • Work closely with the Project Quantity Surveyor to generate cost plans

Requirements:

  • Project engineering experience, preferably in the water industry
  • Experience with NEC3 form of contract
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a construction-related discipline
  • APMP or equivalent certification preferred
  • Previous experience in water treatment (non-infrastructure) and mechanical project engineering

Desirable Skills:

  • Ambitious and dynamic personality
  • MEICA/Civil works multi-disciplined interfacing
  • Experience working on Water Industry construction projects, preferably with large and complex deliveries
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality results
