Senior Mechanical Project Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team in the Rochester area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project engineering and experience working on projects within the water industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with project management and coordination
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
  • Collaborate with site management to ensure design and procurement are aligned with project requirements
  • Prepare and coordinate construction completion and take over activities
  • Provide technical coordination and support to project stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes as needed
  • Work closely with the Project Quantity Surveyor to generate cost plans and ensure project financials are accurately reflected
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in project engineering, preferably in the water industry
  • Knowledge of NEC3 form of contract and ability to apply it effectively
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a construction-related discipline
  • APMP or equivalent certification is desirable
  • Previous experience in water treatment (non-infrastructure) and mechanical project engineering is preferred
Desirable Skills:
  • Ambitious and dynamic personality with a commitment to delivering high-quality results
  • Experience working on Water Industry construction projects, preferably with large and complex deliveries
  • MEICA/Civil works multi-disciplined interfacing skills
