We are seeking a seasoned Health and Safety Manager to join our esteemed client, a leading manufacturer with a strong commitment to excellence.

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for an experienced professional to lead the company's health and safety efforts and oversee facilities management. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as developing and implementing effective risk management strategies.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of improving health and safety processes. A strong background in facilities management and experience with management systems, such as ISO 45001, would be highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Liaise with employees, contractors, and suppliers to ensure health and safety best practices
  • Manage and maintain equipment, facilities, and supplies
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement business objectives

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You must also be able to demonstrate a high level of integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to upholding the company's values and standards.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (Level 3) or equivalent
  • Proven experience in health and safety management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of integrity and professionalism

We offer a competitive salary of approximately £40,000-£50,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a generous benefits package and opportunities for professional development.
