2D/3D Animator and Visual Storyteller for Earth Science Content

We are seeking a talented 2D and 3D Animator to collaborate with our scriptwriter and content creator in conceptualizing and visualizing animations that effectively communicate complex scientific concepts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their animation skills and ability to convey complex concepts visually, as well as proficiency in industry-standard 2D and 3D animation software.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality 2D and 3D animations that align with the visual style and tone of our YouTube channel, while ensuring the accurate representation of information within animations to uphold our educational standards.

Additionally, you will work closely with our video editing team to seamlessly integrate animations into video content, enhancing the overall viewing experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the scriptwriter and content creator to conceptualize and visualize animations that effectively communicate complex scientific concepts.
  • Producing high-quality 2D and 3D animations that align with the visual style and tone of our YouTube channel.
  • Ensuring the accurate representation of information within animations to uphold our educational standards.
  • Working closely with the video editing team to seamlessly integrate animations into video content.

Requirements include:

  • Strong portfolio showcasing animation skills and ability to convey complex concepts visually.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard 2D and 3D animation software.
  • Strong 3D modeling skills with ability to manipulate data, including photography, to recreate 3D models.
  • Agility and flexibility to deliver animated storytelling across a range of creative visual styles.
  • Proven experience in animating illustrations to tell visual stories and provide narrative context.
  • Excellent storyboarding skills to effectively plan and visualize animation sequences.
  • A passion for Earth sciences and education, with a desire to create content that inspires and educates our audience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team environment.
