We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Support Worker to join our team at a stunning children's residential service. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting young people between the ages of 8-18 who present a range of emotional, behavioural, and complex interpersonal needs.
Key Responsibilities- Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives depending on their age.
- Maintain a safe and homely environment for the young people.
- Deal with challenging behaviours when needed.
- Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
- Provide support for the children and young people in the home and promote their independence and well-being.
- NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People is desirable.
- 1-year experience in a residential children's home environment is desirable.
- A Full Driving Licence is essential as you may be required to transport the children from time to time.
- Ability to work the shift pattern (8am-10pm plus sleep ins).
