Job Title: Youth Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Development Specialist to join our team at New Wine Trust.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with us in Pinehurst, Swindon, supporting the development of children, young people, and their families. As a Youth Development Specialist, you will be responsible for leading our 'Kerbside' youth work programme, taking positive activities to where young people want them most.

You will develop programmes that support young people who are most at risk of exploitation, creating increased opportunities for them to participate in our work, including leadership training, community projects, and having a greater voice in our organisation.

The role also involves leading, developing, encouraging, and coordinating a team of volunteers and part-time staff to accomplish these goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver creative face-to-face youth and community work in an outer urban estate context.
  • Create and lead innovative programmes to support vulnerable young people.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, partners, and communities.
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and social responsibility within the team.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in youth development, community work, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience of working with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality youth services.
What We Offer:

In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary range of £25,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have access to ongoing training and development opportunities, as well as a supportive and inclusive work environment.
