Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Aid Director to lead our Financial Aid Office at Briar Cliff University. This is a dynamic role that requires strong leadership skills, expertise in financial aid regulations, and a commitment to providing excellent student services.



About the Role

The Chief Financial Aid Director will oversee all activities within the Financial Aid Office, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. They will establish and maintain a service-oriented team that provides timely information to students and families, while maintaining confidentiality of records.



Responsibilities

  1. Regulatory Compliance

The Chief Financial Aid Director will review and interpret policy changes from the Department of Education, implementing appropriate updates to internal procedures. They will ensure compliance with federal guidelines and stay current with changing regulations.



Student-Centered Services

The Chief Financial Aid Director will develop and implement a proactive, student-focused customer service model that enhances the delivery of financial aid services to prospective and current students.



Financial Aid Analysis and Awards

The Chief Financial Aid Director will collect and analyze student financial data to determine aid eligibility. They will allocate awards in compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies.



Cross-Departmental Collaboration

The Chief Financial Aid Director will facilitate strong communication and collaboration between Financial Aid and other University departments to ensure a seamless educational experience.



Enrollment Management Support

The Chief Financial Aid Director will conduct research and prepare surveys and reports for Enrollment Management and the President's Office, supporting data-driven decisions for strategic planning.



Policy Development and Implementation

The Chief Financial Aid Director will recommend, develop, and enforce financial aid policies, particularly in relation to the awarding of annual, restricted, and endowed scholarships.



Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree; Master's degree preferred
  • Five (5) – ten (10) years of financial aid management experience
  • Extensive knowledge of both federal and state financial aid policies and regulations
  • Knowledge of institutional aid and the policies that govern it
  • Knowledge and understanding of data processing systems


Estimated Salary

$90,000 - $120,000 per year
