Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Specialty Doctor/Senior Clinical Fellow to join our dynamic Ophthalmology Service within Hywel Dda University Health Board. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your clinical and managerial leadership skills in a forward-looking service that delivers high-quality care to our community.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a wide range of ophthalmic diagnoses, high-volume cataract surgery, IVT, and emergency eye casualty. You will contribute to the 1:7 on-call rota during the week and 1:7 on weekends, covering the entire Health Board catchment area.

Requirements
  • Full GMC Registration with Licence to practice
  • Valid Certified Advanced Life Support Skills
  • 4 years full-time postgraduate training (or part-time equivalent), at least 2 of which in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty
  • MBBS or recognised equivalent
