Job Opportunity

Gleeson Homes is seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Apprentice to join our team. As a Technical Apprentice, you will play a vital role in supporting the Technical Department, contributing to the planning, surveying, and technical aspects of our business.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Technical Function, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Support construction management processes, including resolving site construction and sales queries, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Manage drawing and document systems, including updating, printing, and distributing information.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as creating documents, spreadsheets, and collating data, as well as contacting consultants and filing.
  • Assist in preparing meeting agendas and supporting information, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Register new products with the Building Control Body and maintain accurate records.
  • Liaise with external consultants, local authorities, and utility companies, ensuring compliance and effective communication.
  • Support the tender process and commercial analysis, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

Education and Training:

  • Attend a local College to obtain a Level 3 in Construction and the Built Environment, enhancing your skills and knowledge in the construction industry.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Must have a minimum Grade C GCSE, or equivalent, in Maths and English, demonstrating a strong foundation in core subjects.
  • Be prepared to travel to the office and development sites, ensuring flexibility and adaptability.
  • Experience in using AutoCAD / Revit is preferred, although training will be provided to ensure proficiency.
