Gleeson Homes is seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Apprentice to join our team in Sheffield. As a Technical Apprentice, you will play a vital role in supporting the Technical Department, working on planning, surveying, and technical aspects of our business.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Technical Function, ensuring seamless collaboration with colleagues.
- Support construction management processes, including resolving site construction and sales queries.
- Manage drawings and documents, including updating systems, printing, and distributing information.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as creating documents, spreadsheets, and collating data, as well as contacting consultants and filing.
- Assist in preparing meeting agendas and supporting information.
- Register new products with the Building Control Body and maintain records.
- Liaise with external consultants, local authorities, and utility companies.
- Support the tender process and commercial analysis.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team.
Education and Training:
- Attend a local college to obtain a Level 3 in Construction and the Built Environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Must have a minimum Grade C GCSE, or equivalent, in Maths and English.
- Be prepared to travel to the office and development sites.
- Experience in using AutoCAD / Revit is preferred, although training will be provided.
