Job Introduction

Gleeson Homes is seeking a skilled Technical Apprentice to support the Technical Department in planning, surveying, and technical functions. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and a professional qualification in the construction process of new homes.

Main Responsibilities

    • Assist in the day-to-day running of the Group Technical Function, including supporting construction management processes and solving site construction and sales queries.
    • Manage drawing and document systems, including updating, printing, and distributing information.
    • Perform administration duties, such as creating documents, spreadsheets, and collating data, as well as contacting consultants and filing.
    • Assist in preparing meeting agendas and supporting information.
    • Register new products with the Building Control Body and maintain records.
    • Liaise with external consultants, local authorities, and utility companies.
    • Support the tender process and commercial analysis.
    • Work collaboratively as part of a team.
    • Attend a local College to obtain a Level 3 in Construction and the Built Environment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Must have a minimum Grade C GCSE, or equivalent, in Maths and English.
  • Be prepared to travel to the office and development sites.
  • Experience in using AutoCAD / Revit is preferred, although training will be provided.
