Optical Communications Engineer

Nokia's Network Infrastructure group is at the forefront of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.

The Optics Subsystems group develops the frontends for coherent optical long-distance transmission modules to interconnect network nodes and data centers.

Within Optics Subsystems, the SoC team members architect, specify, design, and test the ASICs for the optical modules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-speed analog circuits for optical communications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and test optical modules.
  • Mentor junior engineers in analog design and verification.
  • Contribute to the development of complex electronic devices for optical communications.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electronic Engineering or Telecommunication Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in deep sub-micron analog CMOS design.
  • Experience in high-speed analog CMOS design and RFIC design.
  • Strong skills in Verilog-A, AMS, and System Verilog functional modeling.
  • Proficiency in Matlab for performance modeling and test automation.
