About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant in Acute and Stroke Medicine to join our team at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our acute medical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the provision of acute medicine and stroke services, including clinical governance, service development, teaching, and research.
  • Take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of complex acute medicine patients.
  • Manage acute medical emergencies and lead clinical teams in a busy and dynamic environment.
  • Contribute to the development of our services, including the design and implementation of new clinical pathways and protocols.
  • Engage in and lead change management, motivating and developing the multi-disciplinary team.

Requirements

  • Full GMC Registration.
  • Experience in Acute/General Medicine and Stroke, with a strong track record of clinical leadership and service development.
  • Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of complex acute medicine patients.
  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, relatives, GPs, nurses, and other staff and agencies.
