Job Title: Lead Offshore Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Offshore Structural Engineer to join our team at Odfjell Technology Ltd.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the structural engineering design activities on Brownfield & Greenfield projects, ensuring safe, cost-effective, and timely execution. Key responsibilities include:

  • Design, vendor selection, and outsourcing of fabrication of secondary and tertiary structural deliverables for multi and single discipline drilling rig modification packages
  • Assisting in the production of cost estimates and schedules
  • Developing Scope of Work and Basis of Design documents to meet project and client requirements
  • Participating in risk assessments and HAZIDS/HAZOP studies as required by the project(s)
  • Supporting the installation team to ensure successful project handover to clients/drilling operations
  • Design and/or Technical Authority
  • Preparing and delivering periodical reviews for new personnel
  • Performing theoretical analyses and calculations
  • Designing structural assemblies and supports
  • Performing Factory Acceptance Tests
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Technical, Bachelor or Master degree within engineering (or equivalent)
  • The right to work in the UK
