Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting and sustaining electronic test processes in a high-variety, high-complexity, and challenging precision electro-mechanical assembly environment. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the smooth operation of our test processes, which support products currently in production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for test processes within manufacturing cells, ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimizing downtime.
  • Investigate product failures and process problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform data analysis to inform process improvements and optimize test process performance.
  • Conduct regular maintenance of test fixtures and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Develop and implement test process updates driven by product design changes, including software and hardware modifications.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing cells, focusing on waste reduction, cost optimization, and process control enhancements.
  • Collaborate with product design divisions and support services to ensure seamless integration and effective communication.
Requirements
  • Hold a minimum of a HNC / Level 4 qualification in electronics and/or electrical engineering.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Have familiarity with manual bench testing methods, including oscilloscopes, signal generators, and power supplies.
  • possess knowledge and experience in support or development of electronics test processes, such as Flying Probe, ICT, and functional testing.
Desirable Requirements
  • Apply structured problem-solving and statistical analysis techniques, such as Six Sigma.
  • Be a practitioner of lean manufacturing tools and techniques, with an understanding of production metrics.
  • Have practical experience in cellular assembly process design, support, and improvement, including effective control and mistake-proofing techniques.
  • Understand metrology, measurement techniques, and calibration.
  • Have experience with Aeroflex 42xx or Keysight 37xx ICT Test Systems.
  • Hold a National Instruments LabVIEW/TestStand qualification, supported by practical implementation experience.

The successful candidate will possess a strong technical background and demonstrate success in supporting and developing complex, technically challenging assembly processes. A dynamic, results-driven individual, they will have clear and proven success in delivering to plan, with a focus on waste reduction and product/process cost reduction. Effective time-management, prioritization, and decision-making skills are essential for this role.
