Alfa Laval UK and Ireland is seeking a skilled Field Service Commissioning Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the customer support team, this role involves providing high-quality service to customers through the commissioning, servicing, and fault-finding of Alfa Laval equipment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Commissioning, servicing, and fault-finding of new and existing equipment.
  • Performing electrical and mechanical fault finding on Alfa Laval equipment.
  • Conducting trial test runs to ensure performance rates and quality meet established specifications.
  • Documenting equipment serviced, parts used, and travel/site hours for customer invoicing.
  • Performing preventive mechanical maintenance service calls on customer equipment.
  • Assisting and training customer maintenance and supervisory personnel on equipment operation and maintenance tasks.

About You

Candidates for this role should have completed a recognized apprenticeship or have reached a minimum level of technical training. A strong working background in mechanical and electrical maintenance is essential, with experience working on automated production lines, generators, compressors, and pumps being desirable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, good organization, and planning are essential for this role. The ability to spend several nights away from home as required is also necessary. A full driving license is essential, and daily use of a laptop (provided by the company) is required.
