We are seeking a dedicated specialist to fill a full-time replacement post in our Cellular Pathology Department at St James's University Hospital. This role will support the provision of Gynaecology pathology services to The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and the region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a sub-specialised pathology service tailored to the needs of the tertiary centre, working collaboratively with colleagues in a flexible manner.

Key responsibilities include specialist experience in Gynae pathology, as well as providing training and education to undergraduate medical students and postgraduate doctors.

The appointee must have established skills in Gynaecology pathology and a demonstrable interest and experience in the specialty, ideally including exposure to gynaecological screening programme specimens.

A strong commitment to teaching is desirable, and consideration will be given to applicants who wish to work part-time or job share.

Essential Qualifications:
  • FRCPath or equivalent qualification
  • Full and Specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) or eligibility for registration within six months of interview
  • Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalence to UK CCT
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Fit to practice safely
Estimated Salary:£95,000 - £115,000 per annum
