About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Software Engineer to join our Clinical Systems Development team at Waters Corporation.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing software used by scientists and clinical environments worldwide for scientific analysis.

Our team is passionate about creating innovative solutions that drive customer benefit in the clinical market segment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop algorithms and software using standard libraries for mathematical modeling and machine learning.
  • Collaborate with software test engineers to improve product quality.
  • Contribute to team and project continuous improvement activities.
  • Build strong working relationships with other departments.
  • Contribute to continuous integration and delivery frameworks and approaches.

Requirements

  • Proven software development experience, ideally with exposure to C++ and/or Python.
  • Practical experience of knowledge of good software engineering practices.
  • Proven experience of modeling real-life problems using Bayesian Data Analysis.
  • Experience with Markov Chain Monte Carlo.
  • Experience or an interest in mentoring junior engineers.
