About the Role:

This Lead Mechanic role requires expertise in leading teams in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of equipment in water and wastewater treatment plants and systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting machinery and planning work from blueprints and specifications.

Main Duties:

  2. Leads teams in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of equipment in water and wastewater treatment plants and systems.">
  3. Troubleshoots industrial machinery and equipment to identify performance issues.">
  4. Plans work from blueprints, sketches and work orders.">
  5. Supervises preventive maintenance services.">
  6. FOLLOW established safety practices and maintain a safe work environment.">
  7. Operates a motor vehicle (valid CAT B driving license required).">
  8. PASS a pre-employment physical and immunizations.">
  9. Diagnoses, plans and completes projects related to water and wastewater systems.">

About You:

You will be responsible for supervising teams in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of equipment in water and wastewater treatment plants and systems. As a Lead Mechanic, you will require knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and experience in troubleshooting machinery.

  • BTEC Level 3/City and Guilds/NVQ in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.">
  • Experience in the trade.">
  • Valid CAT B driving license.">
  • All successful applicants will require a security clearance and a right to work in the UK.">
  • This position may have certain restrictions to US citizens including US dual nationals due to the Status of Forces Agreement.">
