We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at NRL Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing detailed design engineering for new projects, liaising with other departments to ensure understanding of all customer/project requirements, and supporting the Proposals, Purchasing, Project Management, Quality and Production teams.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement detailed design engineering solutions for new projects, ensuring compliance with relevant national and international standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and understanding of customer/project requirements.
- Produce technical documentation, including specifications and drawings, for internal and subcontract manufacture.
- Formulate economic engineered solutions, considering all aspects from materials to manufacturability and quality.
- Operate CAD package and design software, maintaining files and working environment in an orderly and safe fashion.
- Complete internal and external Non Conformance and Concession/ Deviation Reports.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a degree in an Engineering subject, or relevant experience gained in an engineering field. They will also possess strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Experience with AutoCad software packages, specifically AutoDesk Inventor and Vault, as well as Microsoft word and excel packages, is also required.
