Job Summary

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer (Modular) to join our exceptional engineering team in Blackburn. Reporting to the Electrical Design Manager, this role will involve working across multiple disciplines to gain a comprehensive understanding of the product life cycle and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for switchboards and associated products, ensuring accuracy and control.
  • Collaborate with production and test teams to resolve design-related issues and improve product quality.
  • Support shop floor operations, site operations, and client witness testing as required.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, opportunities, and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to team development and goal achievement, driving continuous improvement activities within engineering and production.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in electrical engineering, either in production or design.
  • Knowledge of switchgear is advantageous.
  • Experience with 2D design using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical is beneficial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple objectives.
