Job Summary

We're looking for an Electrical Design Engineer (Modular) to join our engineering team in Blackburn. Reporting to the Electrical Design Manager, you'll work closely with our team to design and develop modular switchgear and associated products. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for modular switchgear and associated products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product development and production
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including drawings and specifications
  • Work closely with production and test teams to resolve design-related issues
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the switchgear industry
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and practices
  • Proficiency in 2D design software, such as AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
