Job OverviewWe are currently seeking a qualified Psychotherapist to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience working with children in a psychology or counselling capacity and hold a UKCP/BACP registration.
The salary for this role is approximately £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. The position offers a range of benefits including annual leave, additional leave after two and five years' service, training academy, bonuses for successful referrals, pension scheme, recognition awards, excellent health and wellbeing benefits, life assurance, and discounts on high street brands.
Key Responsibilities- Meet with children individually and sometimes within groups to provide interventions tailored to their needs.
- Work closely with the Health and Wellbeing Team to provide therapeutic support and deliver training to other teams.
- Share observations to help teams understand behaviours and develop strategies for each child's care.
- Formulate plans of support and care for children, which will include assessment and report writing.
- Substantial experience working directly with children in a psychology or counselling capacity.
- UKCP/BACP registration and a qualification in counselling, level 4 or above.
- Excellent knowledge of trauma and attachment theories.
- Good understanding of legislation and regulations surrounding residential childcare.
- Ability to understand individual needs of each child.
- Ability to work independently and to tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient IT and record-keeping skills.
- Full, valid UK driving licence and access to own transport.
