About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director Building Surveyor to join our team in Birmingham. As a senior member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of building surveying services, with a focus on technical project delivery for a range of clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support business unit directors in delivering business objectives;
  • Engage with customers and develop, grow, and maintain customer relationships;
  • Deliver high-quality services and ensure that building surveying deliverables meet customer requirements;
  • Manage and deliver building surveying commissions, including surveys, dilapidation advice, party wall advice, and construction projects;
  • Communicate with clients and project team members, providing professional advice and guidance;
  • Mentor and coach employees to help them realize their full potential;
  • Prepare bids for services and manage service delivery for profit.
About You

We are looking for an experienced Building Surveyor with a strong background in delivering building surveying services. You will have a broad understanding of building surveying tasks, including construction methods and materials, and a comprehensive knowledge of construction procurement strategies.

You will be able to administer construction contracts, have a clear understanding of legislation impacting building contracts, and be able to motivate others and lead high-performance teams.

You will also have excellent problem-solving, negotiating, and financial management skills, as well as sound ICT skills and the ability to negotiate sufficient fees to complete services and generate required profit levels.
