Educated Appointments is proud to partner with a reputable and expanding Ofsted graded GOOD training provider to fill an Electrical Trainer/Assessor position.

Our client offers high-quality training to individuals seeking to enhance their skills, qualifications, and career prospects. They are dedicated to serving various industries and job roles, providing training and employment opportunities. They consistently deliver exceptional quality apprenticeship and short course training across five dedicated centres in the South West region.

In this role, you will train, lecture, and assess for the Electrical brand, ensuring that the quality of provision is maintained to the highest standard. This position will be based in the Plymouth office, teaching 4 days per week with one day for preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Communicate effectively and professionally across all brands and centres.
  2. Provide support for all learners in compliance with our policies and procedures.
  3. Teach learners undertaking Electrotechnical Level 3 Apprenticeship.
  4. Ensure that your knowledge is current to meet the technical and assessment requirements of the awarding organisations.
  5. Hold and work towards relevant qualifications as required.
  6. Ensure knowledge is up to date with current legislation and working practices within the trade.
  7. Motivate learners to ensure success.
  8. Negotiate Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) with all learners based on individual needs.

Requirements:

  1. The successful applicant will need to undergo a check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) as a condition of the job offer.
  2. This position can either be full-time or part-time, and term-time only will be considered.
  3. A teaching/assessing qualification is preferred but not essential.
  4. Applicants will need relevant industry qualifications (NVQ 3 or equivalent) plus at least five years on the tools. If you don't already hold a Level 3 testing qualification, JIB Card (Electrician Grade minimum), and an assessor award, we can arrange and fund this training as part of your induction process.
