Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at a global defence leader, working on a large-scale naval project. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality products to our customers, adhering to engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform welding tasks using various techniques and equipment, including MIG and FCAW processes.
  • Work with automated equipment and ensure quality control measures are in place.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct visual and NDE examinations to ensure deposit welds meet quality standards.
  • Operate in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
Requirements
  • Trade papers, such as a formal apprenticeship, are required.
  • Experience in ceramic tile welding and flux core welding is essential.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials, including carbon steel thickness 4-10mm range.
  • Strong understanding of SHE, COSHH risks awareness and welding with MCAW consumables.
  • Ability to work with automated equipment and welding aluminium with MIG process.
