Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting and Financial Services Manager to join our team at FirstPort. As a Service Charge Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the accounting function for a portfolio of properties, delivering accurate financial statements and records to our customers, and producing an annual set of accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounting function for a portfolio of properties, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements and records are delivered to customers.
  • Produce an annual set of accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise effectively with auditors to deliver a smooth audit process and provide the best possible outcome for our customers and clients.
  • Take full responsibility for your own development and contribute positively and effectively to the team through creative ideas, tested processes, or feedback from colleagues or external parties.
  • Deliver year-end accounts to residents in a timely fashion, ensuring a quality service is provided to customers and clients.

Requirements:

  • Excellent administration skills, gained within an office environment.
  • Excellent skills in MS Excel, with the ability to manipulate data in spreadsheets.
  • Ability to convey information clearly and accurately in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and customers.
