About the Role

Job Summary

The Behaviour Mentor will work with students in an alternative provision setting, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their full potential. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to build strong relationships with students and staff, and have a passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide high-quality support to students with behaviour-related issues, helping them to overcome challenges and develop positive behaviours.
  • To work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure that students receive a consistent and supportive approach.
  • To contribute to the development of a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting the well-being and resilience of all students.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant qualification in education or a related field (e.g., psychology, sociology).
  • Experience of working with young people, particularly those with behaviour-related issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality support and making a positive impact on students' lives.
