Commercial Contracts Solicitor Opportunity

Flint Bishop Solicitors is seeking a skilled Commercial Contracts Solicitor to join our team in Derby, UK.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly regarded Commercial team, consistently ranked in The Legal 500 UK. Our team frequently works with managing directors and finance directors in organisations of all types and sizes, from owner-managed businesses to global PLCs.

The successful candidate will work closely with the head of the department and have opportunities to help shape the strategic direction and business development initiatives of the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a varied caseload of complex matters, including:
  1. Drafting and negotiating a wide range of business-to-business contracts.
  2. Drafting standard agreements, including terms of sale and contracts of distribution and agency.
  3. Drafting standard terms for sales to consumers.
  4. Advising on data protection compliance, including desktop audits and time-sensitive matters as they arise.
  5. Providing transactional support to the corporate team.
Ensure personal legal knowledge is kept up to date and new advancements are communicated to the wider team.Be involved in the marketing and business development of both the department and the firm.Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years PQE in a commercial law role.
  • Excellent academic background.
  • Exceptional client care skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Highly motivated and able to add value to the role.
  • Proactive management of matters with a minimum of supervision.
  • A team player and able to get on with others.
  • Networking and client development skills.

Disclosure will be required in the event that a position is offered.

The successful candidate will be required to attend an induction and a period of training at the firm's Derby office.
