Job Summary:

The Paint Technician role is a key position within our OE Operations & Logistics team, responsible for the painting and refinishing of commercial parts using HVLP equipment. The successful candidate will ensure that the parts produced meet industry, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the surface of the product for paint and provide feedback to the preparation department as necessary.
  • Apply paint to surfaces using expertise on spray guns and ensure high-quality standards are met.
  • Mix and match paint according to specifications to prevent surfacing issues.
  • Operate low-bake ovens and maintain their cleanliness and upkeep.
  • Assess the quality of products produced within the area and manage compliance with quality systems.
  • Identify and address issues with under- or over-prepped parts.

Requirements:

  • Confident in applying "wet on wet" techniques.
  • Proficient in using anti-static equipment to minimize inclusions in thermo and thermosetting substrates.
