About the Role


We are seeking an experienced and skilled lawyer to join our high-performing Legal team in McDonald's Limited. The successful candidate will handle a range of commercial legal matters in the UK and Ireland, working closely with various departments including Digital, IT, Marketing, HR, and Supply Chain teams.

Key Accountabilities


  • The role involves preparing, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements, such as technology contracts, goods and services agreements, and data processing agreements.
  • You will work collaboratively with IT and Digital teams to provide legal advice on various matters, including SAAS agreements and MSAs with suppliers.
  • You will undertake data protection-related work, advising on GDPR compliance within new projects and reviewing data protection provisions in contracts.
  • In this position, you will provide day-to-day advice to colleagues across the business on a wide range of commercial issues, including supply chain matters, marketing & IP matters, employment matters, finance, tax, and competition law.
  • You will proactively identify legal trends and regulatory changes to enhance company policies and procedures, develop communication and training programs, and ensure awareness and compliance across the business.
  • You will participate in cross-functional working teams on projects involving strategic business initiatives and risk management strategies.
  • You will work with and manage external lawyers supporting the team on varying projects/matters.

Your Team and Customers


The Lead Commercial Lawyer will be part of the Legal Team, serving all departments across the McDonald's UK and Ireland business, including the IT and Digital teams.

What We Offer


A competitive salary of £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
