Packaging Development Engineer

Cranleigh STEM, Sustainability & SHEQ Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Packaging Development Engineer to drive innovation within a leading sustainable packaging organisation in Buckinghamshire. As a key member of the team, you will lead the development of innovative, sustainable packaging solutions and support the expansion of the company's market presence. The ideal candidate will have a science or engineering degree and proven experience with packaging materials applications. Key responsibilities include:

* Laboratory Management: Oversee climate chamber testing, ensuring continuous improvement and ISTA accreditation within two years.
* Packaging Development: Innovate and enhance packaging solutions, focusing on Phase Change Materials (PCM).
* Sustainability: Lead projects aimed at developing environmentally friendly packaging solutions, aligned with corporate sustainability goals.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure all packaging meets stringent quality standards.
* Market Expansion: Provide technical support for market growth and customer presentations.

The successful candidate will have advanced knowledge of ISTA/ANFOR standards and climate chamber testing, as well as experience with CAD Design or thermal modelling software.
