Learning Support Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Kirklees Council. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to students with additional needs, enabling them to access learning and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support to students with additional needs, focusing on their social and emotional development as well as academic progress.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized learning plans, working closely with teachers and other support staff.
- Participate in moving and handling activities with designated students, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment, promoting the values of respect, empathy, and understanding.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
- Patience, understanding, and a solution-focused attitude, with a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
