Senior Associate or Associate Director Power Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate or Associate Director Power Systems Engineer to join our team at Hoare Lea. As a key member of our engineering consultancy, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake power systems analysis on HV, MV, and LV distribution for small and large-scale infrastructure and other project sectors.
  2. Design calculations for assessing electrical loads on buildings, sizing utility connections, generators, uninterruptible power supplies, and renewable technologies, together with associated earthing and distribution systems.
  3. Use a variety of software including CAD electrical ETAP, Amtech or EOM.
  4. Contribute to the professional development of individual team members.
  5. Actively lead self and identify opportunities for career development of others.
  6. Ensure quality standards and technical accuracy is delivered.
  7. Experience in relevant design software, including ETAP or similar software and Amtech or EOM LV system analysis software.
  8. Power quality capability to undertake studies for G99 export applications, including harmonics.
  9. Ability to produce schematic designs, fault discrimination studies, preparing specifications and reports, and carrying out site inspections of surveys and detailed design development.
