About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Systems Engineer to join our team at Hoare Lea. As a Senior Associate Director, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing electrical systems for various projects, including high voltage substations, distribution systems, and power quality studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze electrical systems for high voltage substations, distribution systems, and power quality studies
  • Undertake load flow, fault level, G5/5 harmonic, and protection studies
  • Develop and implement electrical design solutions for complex projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys to gather data for design development
  • Prepare specifications, reports, and presentations for clients and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of power systems, high voltage substations, and electrical design principles
  • Experience with ETAP, Amtech, or EOM software for electrical design and analysis
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications
