As a Diagnostic Radiography Specialist at Nuffield Health Derby, you'll bring high levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work efficiently, accurately and compassionately.

The role involves delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging for a varied caseload across multiple specialties, and you'll have the ability to work closely with Consultant Radiologists and Consultant Breast Surgeons. You'll also supervise and develop junior colleagues, ensuring a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion.

As a Bank Worker, you'll be called on to provide cover during periods of sickness, holidays or increased workload. We'll provide a uniform and personal protective equipment, and you'll have access to our pension scheme (dependent on eligibility criteria) and discounted gym membership at £15.00 a month.

Nuffield Health Derby is a purpose-built hospital offering a comprehensive range of high-quality surgical services. We have 38 en-suite beds and three operating theatres, along with a recently refurbished outpatient department, a minor ops suite and a dedicated oncology unit.

The Radiology Department is a small but busy department covering a wide range of general radiographic examinations, limited interventional procedures, theatre, ultrasound, mammography and CT/MRI. Mammography services are provided on a Siemens Mammomat Inspiration.

This role is ideal for a skilled and experienced Mammographer looking to work on an ad-hoc basis and provide cover for our Radiology Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging for a varied caseload across multiple specialties
  • Work closely with Consultant Radiologists and Consultant Breast Surgeons
  • Supervise and develop junior colleagues
  • Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion
  • Provide cover during periods of sickness, holidays or increased workload

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate certificate in mammography
  • Ability to undertake QA/calibration tests and escalate any findings
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • HCPC registration
  • BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent)
