Aircraft Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Specialist to join our team at American Airlines. As a Line Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing skilled work in aircraft operations, including troubleshooting, disassembly, checking, cleaning, repairing, testing, replacing, adjusting, assembling, installing, servicing, taxiing or towing aircraft, fabricating, and/or run-up engines.
Key Responsibilities- Certify the quality of your own workmanship, including signing mechanical flight releases for all work done on field work.
- Chase own parts when stock chasers are not maintained and/or available.
- May have other aviation maintenance personnel assigned to assist in completing an assignment.
- Work according to FAA, company regulations, procedures, and instructions from a supervisor.
- Complete forms connected with work assignments in accordance with established procedures.
- Communicate with other company personnel as required in a manner designated by the company.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including cleaning of aircraft windshields, connecting/removing ground power and ground start units, pushing out/towing of aircraft, and related guide man functions.
- Must be able to read, write, speak fluently, and understand English.
- Valid driver's license.
- FAA Airframe and power plant license and/or equivalent (EASA or UK for example).
- Large aircraft experience - Widebody is preferred, especially B777 & B787.
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days-off.
- Right to live and work in the UK without restriction.
