Lagan's Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Children's Healthcare Professional to join our team in Greater Manchester. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to children aged 0 to 19 years, within their own homes and in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Area Care Team Leader in managing an internal care team, ensuring the delivery of a first-class care service.
- Deliver care to children with complex needs, promoting positive life experiences and choices, and making memories with children who may have short lives.
- Develop and lead a team of healthcare professionals, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with other carers, staff, and families, providing exceptional care at every stage and promoting the charity's work through various care streams.
- Manage on-call out-of-hours calls on a rota with the management team, ensuring seamless care delivery.
- Attend and co-host team meetings to share best practices, resolve challenges, and offer morale support to others.
- Complete ongoing supervisions and support the Area Care Team Leader with team member supervisions and observation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Mentor and buddy new members of staff following completion of probation.
- Source additional activities for children to engage with during term and non-term time.
- Proven experience working with children and young people.
- Clean Children's Workforce DBS (we can complete this application if you do not hold a DBS already).
- Ability to embrace and drive change.
- Positive work attitude and personality to uplift and inspire a care team.
- Good understanding of the Care Quality Commission and its regulations.
- Effective prioritization and time management.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to build and establish effective relationships.
- Confident and skilled communicator (verbal and written English).

- Good attention to detail.
- Resilient.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Proficient in relevant computer applications.
- Hold or be willing to obtain L3 Health and Social Care.
- Full driving license with own car (business use car insurance is essential).
