Job Title: Senior Health and Safety Manager
Business Unit: Data Centres
Location: Slough
Role Purpose:
The Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment (HSQ&E) Department requires the Senior H&S Manager to implement and manage the company's health and safety systems and to provide general support throughout the division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise and assist in the identification of hazards and the preparation of risk assessments and safety method statements.
- Advise and assist Construction Managers and Technical Site Managers in on-site safety training of operatives, including induction and toolbox talks.
- Provide training to staff and/or operatives.
- Plan and carry out audits and inspections of sites and departments.
- Issue written reports on the results of their site safety inspections or safety audits.
- Investigate accidents.
- Ensure that all reportable incidents have been notified to the authorities and have been filed with the internal accident report.
- Carry out Management System audits at our sites and hub offices to ensure compliance to company health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
Requirements:
- Detailed knowledge of the construction procedures and processes.
- Ability to transmit and write reports.
- Able to deal with staff, clients, and external customers.
Qualifications:
- Qualified to NEBOSH standard.
- Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001.
