Health and Safety Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Hews Recruit. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing leadership and coordination in health and safety matters, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  3. Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  4. Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
  5. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of three years of experience in health and safety management, preferably in the construction or technology sector.
  3. Proven expertise in hazard risk assessment, safe method working statements, and post-incident root cause analysis.
  4. Competency in occupational health and safety management systems (ISO 45001).
  5. Fluency in English and proficiency in the local language.
