About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Master Mechanical Engineer for Custom Automation to join our team at Association For Advancing Automation.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex automated systems and process development challenges as a Senior CNC Engineer and Mechanic. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical engineering and manufacturing engineering backgrounds, with a focus on controls engineering, automated control system design, and controls components.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing custom precision parts and assemblies
  • Selecting, sizing, and integrating off-the-shelf pneumatic actuators, motorized actuators, indexers, bearings, drive train components, and other typical automation equipment
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to conceptualize and solve complex automated systems and process development challenges

The successful candidate will have excellent analytical abilities, be able to perform calculations to confirm custom component design and off-the-shelf component selection, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

A SolidWorks proficiency and proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office applications are also required.
