English Lecturer Opportunity at Bournemouth & Poole College

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Lecturer to join our team at Bournemouth & Poole College. As a key member of our cross-college English and Maths team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality learning experiences to our students.

About the Role

As an English Lecturer, you will contribute to the development and delivery of GCSE English and Maths courses to our 16-18 students. You will also be involved in the delivery of Adult provision, teaching Functional Skills English and Maths to students aged 19+. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and delivering engaging and effective teaching and learning experiences.
  • Providing academic support to students in accordance with agreed procedures.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant Level 3 English qualification.
  • A teaching qualification or willingness to achieve within 2 years.
  • Experience of facilitating GCSE English learning for students in a Further Education or an appropriate educational setting.
  • Knowledge of the content of GCSE English Language.
