About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our dynamic team at Prospero Teaching. The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging lessons, foster a supportive classroom environment, and encourage a deep appreciation for literature and language.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with the secondary curriculum, promoting academic excellence and student engagement.
  2. Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation, creativity, and critical thinking.
  3. Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure students meet their full potential.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English department, share best practices, and contribute to the school's academic vision.
  5. Foster a love for reading and writing through innovative teaching methods, making learning enjoyable and relevant to students' lives.
  6. Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices and contribute to the school community.
  7. Communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff, ensuring open and transparent relationships that support student success.
About You
  1. Hold a strong knowledge of English literature, language, and composition, with a passion for teaching and inspiring students.
  2. Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  3. Demonstrate a commitment to the academic and personal growth of students, with a focus on creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  4. Be an enthusiastic and dedicated professional, with a willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the school and its students.
Requirements
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a relevant undergraduate degree in English, Education, or a related field.
  2. Experience of working within a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
  3. Evidence of, and commitment to, continuing professional development, with a focus on staying updated on best practices and contributing to the school's academic vision.
