Senior Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled AAT qualified Senior Financial Accountant to support the New Hospital Programme in Crewe, Cheshire.

This role offers experience across both Financial Accounts and Management Accounts, making it ideal for a rounded financial professional.

About the Role:
  • Fixed Asset Management:
    • Update and maintain the Trust Asset Register accurately and efficiently.
    • Ensure timely updates for new hospital build and associated new leases, revaluations, and asset disposals.
    • Produce annual depreciation values and work with the Management Accounts Team to discuss revenue budgets and phasing effectively.
    • Run monthly depreciation process within the finance ledger using the Fixed Asset Module successfully.
    • Complete monthly reconciliations between the Fixed Asset Module Software and the Finance Ledger meticulously.
    • Main contact for audits related to revaluation, asset register, and leases ensuring compliance.
    • Maintain reconciliation of several reserves securely.
    • Prepare essential elements of the annual accounts relating to property plant and equipment, intangible assets, impairments, revaluation reserve, and finance leases accurately.
    • Coordinate asset audits professionally.
  • Finance Lease Management:
    • Review proposed new leases related to the new hospital carefully.
    • Input new leases into software to calculate fair value precisely.
    • Accurately split lease invoices across Finance Lease Creditors, Interest, and VAT.
    • Manually calculate depreciation for new finance leases correctly.
  • Capital Scheme Monitoring:
    • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of reports for new hospital capital schemes meeting deadlines.
    • Transaction adjustments to the ledger according to the monthly reporting timetable efficiently.
About You:
  • Prior experience working within a Finance Function is essential.
  • Experience providing front-line financial advice and services is crucial.
