Job Opportunity: Estimator - Roofing Systems

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a high-quality range of roofing contract services, including maintenance, flat roofing, pitched roofing, refurbishment, and roofing carpentry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing tender enquiries to gain an understanding of project requirements
  • Liaising with clients to acquire any additional information required
  • Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain competitive prices
  • Producing formal quotations to clients
  • Keeping good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal databases
  • Building and maintaining relationships with contractors and vendors
  • Prioritizing workload to ensure deadlines are met
  • Estimating for projects ranging in value from £50k to £1m

Requirements:

  • Must have estimating experience in the roofing market sector dealing with roof tiling, flat roofing, roof carpentry, and lead works
  • Must have experience using Blue Beam or STACK estimating software
  • Sound understanding of roofing and building legislation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong numerical skills
  • IT literate, particularly savvy in Excel
  • Confident and articulate individual
