About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Services Consultant to join our team at Lidl GB. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and improving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with various departments to analyze and highlight their needs, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective resource allocation.
  • Onboard new procurement categories, streamlining processes and ensuring compliance.
  • Apply innovative thinking and proactivity to identify new services and strategic solutions, driving business improvement.
  • Manage the tender process from market research to creating tender packs, scorecards, and presenting final recommendations.
  • Conduct strategic sourcing initiatives, including negotiations, supplier analysis, benchmarks, cost structure analysis, and process compliance.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and draft contracts, ensuring fair and beneficial agreements.
  • Manage contracts, ensuring timely renewals and effective relationships.
  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, fostering open communication and trust.
  • Prepare summaries, overviews, and project status documents for senior management, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Monitor and control budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Maintain and develop supplier relationships, driving long-term value and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a procurement role, with a strong understanding of procurement principles and practices.
  • CIPS Level 4 qualification or equivalent, demonstrating expertise and knowledge in procurement.
  • Experience working with suppliers, contract management, and tendering, with a strong track record of success.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to present and negotiate effectively.
  • Ability to prioritize projects, manage multiple complex tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to extract key information from large datasets.
  • Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to analyze and present data effectively.
