About the Role

Savills Management Resources is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Improvement District Manager to lead the BID team in Bromley. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the strategic direction of the BID, managing operations, and providing leadership and direction to the team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Champion the BID, engaging with stakeholders, businesses, and partners to ensure effective working relationships.
  2. Facilitate the delivery of BID projects, services, contracts, and commitments in line with the Business Plan.
  3. Work closely with the BID Board, Directors, and staff to develop strategy, visions, and annual plans.
  4. Lead the BID and the business community, being a high-profile credible figurehead across all sectors.

Operational Management

  1. Manage the annual budget, maintain oversight of financial performance, and provide regular forecasts to the Board.
  2. Review and develop key performance measures to ensure the Board has clear oversight of progress.
  3. Ensure BID projects, events, and services are delivered to a high standard and meet the changing needs of members.
  4. Take responsibility for health and safety measures and promote diversity and inclusion.
  5. Lead the performance management process for staff, including regular monitoring and annual reviews.

Governance

  1. Manage the BID company to comply with articles of association and relevant legislations.
  2. Support the Board to ensure induction, training, and regular appraisals for Directors.
  3. Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the Chair and Board of Directors.
  4. Proactively seek and secure further funding opportunities.

Requirements

  • Senior leadership experience and commercial acumen.
  • Evidence of direct management of staff and/or contractors.
  • Ability to manage complex relationships with partners.
  • Proven tenacious leadership style and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work with professionalism and integrity.
  • Knowledge of Bromley and BIDs.

Desirable

  • Degree level education or an appropriate professional qualification.
  • Visual presentation skills and knowledge of political and economic conditions of retail, leisure, and licensed businesses.

Working Hours - 40 hours

Salary - £35,000 - £40,000 DOE
