Theatre Scrub Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Theatre Practitioner/Scrub Nurse to work in a reputable private hospital based in London.
This hospital offers world-class care to patients and is dedicated to providing exceptional treatment for both adults and children.
To be considered for this position, you must be qualified as an RGN Nurse with a current active NMC Pin or an ODP with HCPC registration.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the positioning and preparation of patients as directed by the surgical team
- Controlling cross infection by observing departmental policy and maintaining a clean working environment
- Participating in induction and orientation programmes for new staff
- Preparing patients for clinical/operative procedures
- Providing assistance in clinical/operative procedures
- Taking charge of the clinical area in the absence of an advanced practitioner
- Assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating peri-operative patient care
- Delegating and supervising junior grades, unqualified, and less experienced staff
The following skills and experience would be beneficial for the role:
- Ability to deliver high standards of care
- Knowledge of current professional nursing issues
- Previous perioperative experience in various specialties, including Gynaecology, Urology, General, and Plastics
