Remuneration: £11.84ph - £13.53ph, with increases after 6 and 12 months
Hours: Night shift, Sunday to Thursday, 22:00 - 06:00
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with a dynamic team to execute warehouse operations efficiently and effectively.
- Operate 5-tonne overhead gantry cranes using state-of-the-art radio remote and pendant control systems, prioritizing hand and body positioning and applying task-based personal risk assessments.
- Cut lengths of steel to precise measurements using fully or semi-automated Band Saws/Cold saws.
- Adhere to Fire, Health & Safety Regulations and complete all required training.
- Follow instructions from the Foreman to ensure work schedules are met and maintain production output.
- Store processed material in designated Warehouse Bay(s) while ensuring safety and accessibility in line with company practices.
- Conduct stock checks as required.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment as instructed for your assigned role.
- Promptly report any plant defects to the Supervisor/Senior Supervisor/Works Manager.

As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of all warehouse activities, working collaboratively with your team members to meet deadlines and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.
What You'll Do:
You will have the opportunity to operate 5-tonne overhead gantry cranes, using state-of-the-art radio remote and pendant control systems. You will also use Band Saws/Cold saws to accurately cut steel to precise measurements. Safety is a top priority, and you will be trained to follow Fire, Health & Safety Regulations to mitigate risks.
